Its Finally Here

Today is the greatest day of my boyfriends life and sadly, it has nary a thing to do with me. If you thought you knew a huge Star Wars fan, you know nothing compared to Reg. For him this is probably almost like some sort of graduation/possibly winning the lottery/super-great thing going on. From the time I really started hanging with him in December 2003 I've been hearing about this.

I acutally feel a little geeky myself as I'm really amped to see this as well because (reg avert your eyes for a moment) is or isn't Hayden Christiansen the most perfect looking boy. . .EVER. I'll admit I had always watched and enjoyed the movies, but it was never something I was really "in" to. Not that I'm going to be Super Fan Girl #1, but I *did* dress as Padme last Halloween and I might be dressing as her again this year (but, Diva, what happened to your stiletto & black dress wearing, appletini drinking at KSJ days? I dunno, childrens, I just dont know).

Anyhow, you can be assured there will be a full review sometime after I've finished work for the day tomorrow and from all of the trailers/teasers/tv-spots/whatever you crazy fanboys call them that I've seen its gonna rock my lame ass.

Weekend Projects

This weekend the boyf and I decided to undertake re-arranging the entire apartment. We have a decent albeit small space, but its good for the 2 of us and now that we've re-organized its a lot better. Andrew was cool enough to let me have my "own" space and I got to take charge of redecorating the bedroom. He had some small imput, but here are the pics. We went with a color scheme of only blues, white and birch and if you asked me to describe it I'd probably say its "minimalist, modern, beach house". The picture of the picture is what you see when you're lying in our bed. Gotta say: I [heart} Ikea. Yay!

Monday, Monday

Well it was a busy weekend indeed. Thursdays Cinco de Mayo festivities led to little sleep spilling into work Friday and then my friend Megan's engagement party. A good time was had by all. I could regail you with the tales, but it'd be useless seeing as you guys don't really know the involved parties. Oh and last time I told a funny story like this it started the great War of '04 as sometimes people spy on you. Lets just leave at it was a wonderful time.

Saturday I worked again and then I came home to cook dinner for my mommy for Mother's Day. I made Seafood Newburg and it came out deliciously if I *DO* say so myself. I realized I became one of those sappy crying card ladies, but I can't help it. My mom makes me emotional. It was nice to just have her over, while Andrew was out in Long Island visiting his mom & family. We watched TV afterward and just chatted. I'm sure it was nice for her to get out of the house too.

Sunday the family went to Mother's day brunch. We were sereneded by an accordian, and just generally had a nice time. Andrew and I then went to check out 'Kingdom of Heaven' which I thought was well done and entertaining. It didn't drag on to long, the fight scenes were well choreographed and concise (unlike the garbage they showed during both Troy & Alexander). Plus, well, it was Orlando Bloom. I totally agree with what Cacoa said about him in this movie vs. previous roles.

That does it for me. Take it easy kiddies and I'll catch ya on the flip side!

Blah

Today I had a crappy realization: I realized I weigh the most I've ever weighed in my life and it brought me to tears, but positively it has finally motivated me to really be serious about my health and weight loss and diet.

I have several things planned this week and weekend where I won't be able to avoid eating crappy, but Monday morning I'm starting over. I'm gonna start with diet for a week or two and then ease into exercising. I'm almost 24 and my birthday is in the middle of the summer. I want to wear a swim suit and frollick in the sun. Not hide inside like a beast.

No, I'm not all "oh woe is me" but I often look back at my blog to see where I've been and what I was thinking about things so its time for me to gear up and hopefully this will remind me of how crappy I feel today when I need to be motivated.

I'll keep you guys posted on progress.

What Did We Learn Today

I used to think I was indecisive, now I'm not so sure

Work & life are confusing

Working retail hours makes it hard to find good time to spend with friends and makes for a lonely diva

Jersey boys are beat

I want a puppy, B A D

Its possible to be great & true friends with somoene you've only known a short while, they'll even do small things to prove it to you

I need to get my lazy ass to a gym, quickly

I miss hockey season (both mine & the NHL)

Something BIG is gonna happen soon or I should stop watching that NBC mini-series "Revelations"

My real friends are really amazing people

I have the best boyfriend on the planet, and now I live with him *HUH-YOU-JUH SMILE*

Recognizing and celebrating the good in things and people often goes overlooked. Its important to do this and it feels good in return

Lee's new frappuccino is hardcore YUM

Mountain Dew is 90% crack

Hair ties, mountain dew cans and socks are like my breadcrumbs: if you follow the trail closely you can discover where I've been at any given time

57 Days Til My Birthday. w00t.
