Happy Birthday To Me

It never ceases to amaze me how wonderful my boyfriend is. This morning for my birthday he got up while I was in the shower and ran to Dunkin’ Donuts and got me my two favorite treats: iced French vanilla coffee (light & sweet, of course) and 2 pink frosted donuts with sprinkles!

He got me a really pretty optic pink coach wristlet and a *beautiful* bracelet from Tiffany. I love him to death all pressies aside, but he’s just really thoughtful and amazing (and oh-so-easy on the eyes). Just when I think I couldn’t possibly love him more, he goes ahead and does some absolutely amazing stuff. I am so happy to have him.

My birthday weekend rocked as well. Andrew and I drove up to see Lou & Lisa’s new place (which is *so* cute) and those two really outdid themselves for an amazing birthday extravaganza. Lou toiled over DELICIOUS homemade hickory smoked and spice rubbed ribs and Li made me these amazing, cupcakes with EDIBLE GLITTER! (Photo above) How cool is that?!? We all laughed and hung out and relaxed and had a great time playing video games like Donkey Konga (holy cow, I need that game), Space Channel 5 (my new hardcore obsession…I wanna be Ulala for Halloween: gym here I come), DDR (which I had never played, and upon playing found out how miserable I am at it). Good times all around. Now that I know they’re so close and that Reg gets along so well with them I will surely be seeing more of them (woo!).

Saturday I went to the soon-to-be Mrs. Hank’s bridal shower, which was lovely even though I got SOOOOOOO lost (like 2 hours worth lost). Saturday night I went out with Reg & the girls from home (Megs, Stay & Bex). My cousin and her pseudo-manpiece came out as well. We hit up the Crab Shell and it was nice on such a hot evening to be right on the breezy water. A band called “Bald Paul” was there, playing cover tunes which was fun and there was a guy drunker than me who kept hijacking the band and singing songs on stage with the band even after they were like “Okay, terrific, go frolic elsewhere…like traffic”. After leaving the Crab Shell we went to Finn’s our old standby where we proceeded to get MORE drunk. It was quite yay, until Sunday morning.

I haven’t been hung-over in AGES and let me tell you, Sunday morning was enough reason for me to remember WHY I don’t get hung over. I didn’t get out of bed until noon and even after that it wasn’t pretty. I finally sealed the deal on living with Andrew and I surrendered my old bed room to my brother. In the craziness I purged a lot of crap, made a tag sale pile which should bank me some good monies this summer and somehow lost my car & house keys and flip flops in the mess. Such is the price you pay, I suppose. Hopefully they’ll turn up. I have an idea of *where* they are, I just can’t get to them yet.

Once the internet is back up at work I should be blogging fairly regularly so you won’t have to all be so disappointed with not hearing the goings on of my life and that of “The Hank”. So far the new job is great. Sadly, Matty, there is no “gimped out” or even any “aromatic” co-worker. There are only 5 of us and we’re all clean and personable. Granted its only been 2 weeks so this could all change, but so far things seem pretty good.

A wise man once said "If I were any better, I'd be twins". That’s it for me, kiddies. Catch ya on the flipside.

I've Got Nothing

I've been off all week and I've not updated this poor lil blog once! I shopped alot with my mom, got manicures and pedicures, had issues with my teeth (stoopit dry sockets!), I read Harry Potter 5 (well finally finished it, I started it in January) and I just lazed around in the air-conditioning.

My birthday is in 18 days which is muy mucho exciting, and lisa is coming home soon which is ALSO exciting. Monday begins my new job, back into an office. I'm running up to school today to get settled and see what I need to do to be ready for classes in the fall (maybe even sneak into a late summer session class). I'm really amped for school and work as silly as that sounds. I love and hate having time off like this: I love it 'cause its fun and relaxing, but I get bored very easily. Eh, whatever.
